As I walk from towards northern side of Battersea bridge, remindered that the garden is not separate from how we live, the garden is another opportunity to reflect’s ones own identity.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 returns with the theme ‘Out of this World’ and as an interior designer in Chelsea, my walk to the Pont Street design studio feels just that more pleasurable, not just simply admiring the horticulture from The Sloane Club to the incredible design by Cadogan Place but the mood of the design world. We want nature, in all its beautiful, occasionally unruly, deeply restorative truth.

For those of us working in interior design, the Chelsea Flower Show approach offer a great framework. My biophilic interiors approach begins with some questions, as would the interior design process to understand ecological value, what the plant support? What does its presence invite into the space, not just in terms of beauty, but in terms of life? The outcome should be design that feels genuinely imperfect, layered and alive with nature.

If you would like to discuss how the principles of biophilic design and Chelsea in Bloom and RHS Chelsea flower show 2026 themes might be translated into your home or office, I would be delighted to hear from you.
